Kacey'sKitchen.com started out in Maine (2009):
Moved to Vermont (2009):
Then to Florida (2010):
Oklahoma (2011):
I also started a new blog to cover the things that go on outside of Kacey's Kitchen.
It's called, 'Where in the World is Kacey?' Check it out here.
I practically grew up in the kitchen. It's where my family and friends gathered. It's where games were played, projects were made, homework was completed. It was where my sister and I fought and made up, it's where good news was shared and bad news was given. To this day, whenever I go 'home', as soon as I walk through the door, we all immediately head to the kitchen to catch up. It's where we stay up late and chat, and wake up early with waffles. Growing up in my parents New Jersey kitchen, I am forever grateful that they required us to eat dinner together as a family, even into my teen years. I'm also grateful that I know what amazing pizza is.
I started, and still do this Kacey's Kitchen blog as a hobby. Food and cooking is one of the first hobbies that I truly, truly love, and I want to keep it that way. This is my little public space that I can share my passion with other people. I write the way I speak... grammar, spelling, and sentence structure might not be perfect, but that's just the way I am. You'll find all sorts of things here: slutty foods, healthy foods, booze, kitchen failures, reviews, bitching and moaning, wishful thinking, randomness, and of course the occasional curse word. Ain't that the fuckin' truth.
If you have questions, suggestions, requests, love letters, hate mail, or need someone to cook for you, don't hesitate to contact me below or by using my contact form.
Chow On,
Kacey
Hi Kasey. I like your blog. It's very nice looking. I am a Jersey native myself. I love the cupcake photo. I look forward to your posts! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHi Kasey, great blog. I cooked your polenta recipe just the other day and added a piece of fish. It was delicious. Thanks for all the blogging. Take a look at my new cookery blog from the other side of the pond in London...
ReplyDeleteHi Kacey, I heard about your blog from your mother-in-law when she and her husband came to donate blood today. With today being the end of Thanksgiving weekend, I found it the perfect opportunity to find out what most of my donors had for dessert and when I mentioned Southernplate.com and and my interest in learning about southern food as well as writing my own blog. I scribbled down the name of yours down and stopped by to visit. Browsed a little; If it were me, I'd definitely return to the new hot dog place, sample another hotdog and let them know about the idea for the frequent visitor card. Grace
ReplyDeleteHi Kacey, my name is Kacey too! I just had to comment, since I haven't seen the spelling duplicated! I'll have to start referencing your blog :) Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWoah Woah WOAH!!!! I have never met anyone with the same spelling either!!!! AWESOME!
DeleteHi Kacey, dude, it's been a long time! I actually saw your blog on the Class of 2001 website when I updated my profile the other day. Just some silly, mundane details, then I stumbled upon your awesome blog. I am a foodie myself, and living in Alaska, have been sorely disappointed at the trash they call pizza here. Woe is me. Anyways, just thought I'd leave a shot out.
ReplyDeleteYour HHS 2001 classmate- Heather L.
Shout out...damn you, Autocorrect!
DeleteHey Heather! How are you?!?!?!
DeleteThat's awesome you're up in Alaska. We just had some friends move up there to one of the AF bases. Where are you located? If you want, give me a shout using the contact form and send me your email (so it's private)!
Kacey
