I've been trying very hard not to purchase any more cookbooks. But I knew before I left that I would HAVE to buy a cookbook from the west. And so I did.
This one was perfect called Cowgirl Up in the Kitchen. I found it at the Cowgirls of the West Museum in Cheyenne, Wyoming, just after I bought my boots (which I'm totally in love with). It was a good day.
The recipes in this cookbook are contributed by the Cowgirls of the West. Real home cookin' representin' the western spirit of hospitality....Yee-Haw! Nothing fancy nothing smanchy, just some good grub to keep all ya'lls stomachs full and happy.
As I was checking out, the woman I was purchasing it from mentioned how both her and her grandmother have a recipe in the book. I was pretty excited to get this locally grown cookbook anyways, but now I was stoked!!! I had her show me which recipes they were and asked her to sign hers.
Happy Trails...
I want to see those cowboy boots! (jealous)
